Peter Pans had a fantastic time preparing a lovely surprise for our Nursery children a few days ago. They chose a picture of one of our Nursery students and drew a special message to them to celebrate friendship on Valentine’s Day. They were very excited to give them the messages as well as a big hug , and they certainly enjoyed exploring their classroom and sharing their toys. Take a look!
Butterflies class had fun celebrating Valentine’s Day last week by exploring hearts through different art techniques. Take a look at these photos!!
Butterfly class has been learning about body and face parts these last few weeks through different activities, they have stamped their hands with paint on carboard, listened to different stories about body parts, completed girl/boy body parts puzzles, made playdough faces, played with face parts pictures of themselves, used our iPads and sang and danced to these songs. Take a look at these photos!
Butterflies class has been exploring squares and triangles through different activities for the last couple of weeks. We have read a wonderful story about finding shapes everywhere, and listened to a couple of songs about shapes.
Children have enjoyed participating in a hide and seek game to find triangles around the classroom, sorting square stickers by color and using wooden sticks to create shapes among other learning experiences.
We hope you’ll enjoy taking a look at these photos!!
Butterflies class has been exploring circles this last week through different painting, modeling, sticking experiences in English lessons in order to continue developing their fine motor skills, and they have also engaged in songs and stories to help them develop their language skills and expand their vocabulary.
We are sure most of you have already read the wonderful book titled «Press here» by Herve Tullet , but for those of you who haven’t yet , here’s a video of the story children listened to this week.
We would like to share with you a few pictures of some of the activities that have been going on in the classroom.
Butterflies class has been exploring Autumn and its colors (orange, red, yellow..) through different activities in English lessons and they have enjoyed engaging in various learning and creative experiences exploring play dough, texture papers and paint. Today’s activity was a very fun (and a little messy) sponge painting experience with leaves and chestnuts. Take a look at these photos!
One of the best ways for children to develop their language skills and learn new words is through stories and songs, and that’s why reading a short story and listening (and singing along) to a song is always part of the routine in our lessons. We hope you’ll enjoy singing along with your toddlers these two songs in English. Have fun!!
